Canon’s corporate philosophy is Kyosei – living and working together for the common good.
In line with Kyosei, Canon Production Printing, which includes Canon Production Printing Holding B.V., Canon Production Printing Netherlands B.V., Canon Production Printing Germany GmbH & Co. KG, Canon Production Printing Romania S.r.l., Canon Production Printing Singapore Pte. Ltd., Canon Production Printing Australia Pty. Ltd. and Edale Ltd., aims to act as responsible corporate citizen by protecting the environment and taking care of people’s health and safety, labor conditions and human rights in all of its business operations.
Canon Production Printing group-companies share some of the same suppliers and value chains. As a whole, Canon Production Printing has been implementing joint processes that allow us to identify, monitor, and thereby avoid or stop any risks or violations related to human rights and environment – not only within Canon Production Printing but also along our supply chain.
Additionally, in 2024, Canon Production Printing Germany GmbH & Co. KG (CPPG) became subject to the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz, LkSG). Accordingly, the respective boards of Canon Production Printing have reviewed and further adjusted Canon Production Printing’s processes in order to ensure compliancy with the due diligence obligations imposed by the Act. This includes the issuance of the following Policy Statement on human rights, which is a key part not only of Canon Production Printing Germany but of Canon Production Printing’s Human Rights Strategy in its entirety. It complements our Canon Code of Conduct as well as our Supplier Code of Conduct.
