Gemini

At the heart of every device is the unique Gemini technology: a single print engine driving two imaging belts, to enable both sides of a sheet to be printed in just one pass. Using a rubber transfer belt, toner is pressed and fused to the paper at lower temperatures than traditional electrophotography. Registration performance is improved, as sheets are printed front and back simultaneously.

Gemini technology is a duplication of two imaging units based on CopyPress technology that enables instant duplex printing. With CopyPress technology, a light-sensitive photoconductor belt is charged and discharged locally with an LED bar. The mono-component toner sticks to the charged areas and forms the toner image, which is then transferred to the Toner Transfer Fuse belt. The image is then pressed and fused to the paper at low temperature.
