SUSE Linux “Copy Fail” vulnerability CVE-2026-31431

A vulnerability has been discovered in the SUSE Linux kernel which allows a local non-root user to gain full root access to the system.  To ensure the security of the PRISMAproduction server, an update is necessary for all installations.

All SUSE Linux version 15 Service Packs are affected.
